1937

The heart begins to beat.

Ernst Scherzinger develops his first vision: the construction of gear pumps for gear-cutting machines of the highest quality.

1941

The pulse quickens.

Immersion and coolant pumps complete the product line. Shortly before the outbreak of World War II, 10,000 pumps were being produced annually.

1944

Resurrection.

After World War II, the young SCHERZINGER company starts nearly from scratch again. In addition to gear pumps, small lathes and machines are constructed for the regional production of Kilwi* fried dough for a brief period.

1951

New ground triggers the beating of the heart.

SCHERZINGER develops the first German oil burner pump as an internal gear pump.

1959

Heart to heart.

The expanding of the business relations in the international market necessitates a new company building and a move to the current location of the headquarters in Furtwangen.

1965

No downtimes.

SCHERZINGER develops special oil pumps for the lubrication of gears and transmissions, crank drives and conveyor systems for various mobile and stationary uses.

1969

The heart beats again.

A new market is created: SCHERZINGER produces fuel distributors for gas turbines for the first time.

1971

Keeping pace with the times.

Pumps for auxiliary heating in buses are developed as an extension of the oil burner pumps used for household heating. Over the course of 30 years, SCHERZINGER has established an internationally leading position in this field.

1972

The heart continues to beat.

SCHERZINGER begins the production of motor oil pumps for sports cars and thereby positions itself in the challenging market for dry sump lubrication pumps.

1973

New momentum.

Herbert Ganter, the Production Manager, assumes the role of Business Manager at SCHERZINGER after the unexpected death of the company founder in the same year.

1983

With lifeblood and devotion.

Erich Willimsky, the founder’s grandson, joins the company and assumes the management.

1987

New strengths.

SCHERZINGER celebrates its 50th anniversary and begins producing stainless steel pumps for the chemical industry.

1995

New product range.

SCHERZINGER develops valve groups for the distribution of fuel and rinsing of gas turbines.

1996

New market leadership.

The first winter vehicles are equipped with our salt pumps. A few years later, SCHERZINGER occupies a leading position in this market niche.

2001

Two hearts beating.

The room resources at the Furtwangen site are doubled.

2002

Export of competence.

Scherzinger Pump Technology, Inc. is founded in Ontario, Canada.

2003

Amplification.

Majority acquisition of shares in SP Industrieprodukte in Horb. The SCHERZINGER Group has since produced internal gear pumps for various applications in machine engineering and construction at this site.

2006

A new heart that beats faster.

SCHERZINGER introduces a new production series of stainless steel pumps with magnetic coupling. The foundation stone was placed for a modular system which can serve many diverse customer demands.

2007

A big heart with strength.

The mounting demand from within Germany and abroad makes a renewed expansion of production necessary.

2011

Fresh energy and commitment.

Matthias Derse joins the management and assumes sole management of the SCHERZINGER Group in 2014.

2012

The two heart chambers.

SCHERZINGER transforms integral elements of “Lean Production” and separates the production spatially and organizationally into two units: Factory A for the small and medium quantities covering a wide range; Factory B for the series production in production lines.

2013

Export of competence, part 2.

SCHERZINGER opens its subsidiary, Scherzinger Pump Technology Ltd., in Kunshan, China.

2017

Rapid heartbeats.

SCHERZINGER starts the series production of variable vane-type pumps for high-performance sports cars.

2018

A heart full of concepts.

Collaboration with the company Hesa Kunststofftechnik GmbH & Co. KG. With this strategic involvement, SCHERZINGER stresses the importance of plastic in the future development of pumps.

2019

The pump is running

The new plant "Neueck" (Gütenbach) has a surface area of approx. 2,700 sqm. SCHERZINGER meets the needs of its growth in the area of series products. By the end of the year, series production will relocate to this new building.

2020
