Delivering directly to the core: fuel delivery
One of the core tasks of a gear pump is fuel delivery. The pump manufacturer Ernst Scherzinger GmbH & Co. KG from Furtwangen offers durable and specially developed product solutions for this kind of application.
Scherzinger system solutions are designed for low-viscosity media like gasoline, alcohols and bio-fuel. The specialty is to provide a constant differential pressure of 10 bar throughout a service life that reaches between 6,000 and 7,000 operating hours. This is a remarkable performance, as the critical medium has non-lubricating or in part even degreasing qualities. And after the replacement of a part, the pump is ready for another 6,000 hours of operation.
Because of low viscosity, the reliable delivery of fuel is particularly challenging and requires comprehensive knowledge of the application. Due to the many years of experience with low-viscosity media, Scherzinger is an experienced partner in system design and pump selection. In the selection of materials for sealing, gears, and bearings, special attention is paid to media resistance and individual components are precisely matched to each other.
Should there be any question as to whether a gear pump can be used for a planned application, Scherzinger offers their customers the opportunity of a detailed wear simulation or wear analysis, which can demonstrate the durability and long operating life even in adverse conditions.
